Arroz con leche
Rice pudding
Rice pudding (arroz con leche) is one of the most traditional and popular Spanish desserts.




Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1 liter of whole milk
100-150 ml of cooking cream

200g of  round rice
100g of sugar approx.(you may add more)
lemon peel
1 cinnamon stick
1 vanilla bean
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

Steps to make it:
Step 1:
Pour water into a large saucepan and bring it to boil.
Add the rice,cinnamon stick, vanilla bean and lemon peel.






Step 2:
Pour milk into the saucepan and bring it to boil over medium-low heat. 




Step 3:
Once the milk boils, stir the milk with the rice and allow to gently boil for about 15 minutes.
Step 4:
Add the sugar and stir the rice until sugar is completely dissolved. Boil for 5 minutes until rice is soft.


Step5:
Add the cooking cream and remove cinnamon stick, vanilla bean and lemon peel.

Step 6:
Remove from heat and pour rice pudding into a serving dish.
Sprinkle the top with ground cinnamon.
Allow the rice mixture to cool down in the serving dish for 30 minutes, then refrigerate at least 1 hour.




Spanischer Milchreis


Zutaten:
1 Tasse Wasser
1 Zimtstange
1 Vanilleschote
Die Schale von einer Zitrone
1 Liter Vollmilch
100-150ml Kochsahne
200g Rundkornreis
100g Zucker (weisser oder brauner Zucker)
1 Teelöffel Zimtpulver


Arroz con leche

Ingredientes:
1 taza de agua
1 rama de canela
1 vaina de vainilla
Cáscara de un limóm
1 litro de leche entera
100-150 ml de nata para cocinar
200g de arroz
100g de azúcar (blanco o moreno)
1 cucharadita de canela en polvo

Cocción: 20 minutos aproximadamente
El azúcar se añade los últimos 5 minutos.
El arroz debe estar bastante caldoso por eso se añade la nata para cocinar al final.






Después de unas horas el arroz ha absorbido casi por completo todo el líquido.
